And I do think that any middle-aged man who dies his hair or beard and expects to fool folks into thinking it's the real hair color is pathetic. They can't get away with it. There's one TV news anchor whose hair seems to change color by the day. I think it's Brian Williams. Of course, I could be wrong.
James Lipton, who hosts Bravo's "Inside the Actors' Studio" was born in 1926 and still has coal-black hair and beard! Think he may use boot-blacking. The sight of him, hung-over one day (me, not him), was enough to make me take a successful vow to quit dyeing my own hair, as I sometimes did back then, for fear of looking silly.
Lapin, your comment reminds me of an antique dealer I once knew. I don't know what he used on his hair, but his scalp was black, too. (He was not African-American.) It looked as if he had put black liquid shoe polish on his head. I was fascinated and could hardly keep my eyes off his head. As a result, I bumped my head on one of the beams in his barn and damned near knocked myself out.
And Rick Warren's performance tomorrow morning will also be part of the pre-inauguration and therefore silenced?
ReplyDeleteDon't you think that middle-aged guys (Warren's 54 years old) who dye their hair and beards are pathetic?
Oh no. Rick Warren will be front and center.

Pre-show?! WTF?
ReplyDeleteI blocked off my afternoon, mainly to see Bishop Gene's prayer. So it goes.
