Faith is now quite uncertain. I'm no longer acting-as-if.
I had to look up the word 'gibbous'. Thank you for that!!!
Tim, a poet friend of mine used the words "waxing gibbous moon" in a poem years ago, and I had to look up gibbous then. For some reason, I love the sound of the three words strung together, and they've always stayed with me.
I saw a 'waxing gibbous moon' last night at the beach. The surf was fairly wild and the moonlight dancing on it was simply magical. How lovely that though miles apart, we shared the same moon - waxing and gibbous.
Oh my, Elizabeth! I'm sure yours was a lovely sight of the "waxing gibbous moon" that we share.
Love this, Mimi!
Susan, the post is a repeat, and I will probably use it again, because I like "waxing gibbous moon".
I too love the moon phases and those names can seem so strange that they're beautiful and magical.
I really like your haiku.
I used your haiku in my latest blog post, which showcases the waxing gibbous moon.http://keystonestatephotographer.blogspot.com/2010/03/waxing-gibbous-moon.html
