Grandpère picked the produce pictured above this morning, the first of the season. They're fresh from the garden, not even cleaned yet. He's proud, and I don't blame him. He works hard in his spring vegetable garden, and we both enjoy eating the harvest. Mmm-mmm good!
So how's that sabbatical working for ya? ;-)
ReplyDeleteglad you are still posting.

ReplyDeleteIT, really well. I'm resting comfortably.
yum -- I like to sauté those tomatoes and squash (diced) together with some chopped onion - and add some grated parmesan cheese as it is served.
ReplyDeleteAnn, we will soon have cherry tomatoes, which we use in the mix, saving the regular tomatoes for salads and eating whole. Served over pasta, the taste is heavenly. Fresh produce doesn't need much to enhance the taste, because it's so good all on its own.
ReplyDeleteWowzer. I am impressed. They are beautiful and GP should be proud. My vegetable harvest is a long way off since we cannot plant until the frosts are over (around Mother's Day).
ReplyDeleteThe colors of the veggies make a nice presentation, don't they?
ReplyDeleteYou can tell Grandpere from me as one veg grower to another that those veg look impressive and beautiful and he should be proud. Growing fruit & veg, such fun!
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely!
ReplyDeleteJ'en suis jalouse.
ReplyDeleteI'm blessed to be married to a man of the soil, because I'd never do what Tom does.
