The ad above shows what sort of clothes your child will grow up to wear when you drink beer while nursing.

Don't blame me. Blame Doug.

  2. Tobias, I bought the line and drank beer, sometimes while in the very act of nursing my oldest son. He gained three pounds in his first month of life, a rather unusual gain for a baby nourished only by breast milk - and beer. What can I say? Baby participated in its benefits, and I was mellow.

  3. An un-mellowove Mimi is scarcely thinkable.

  4. That was supposed to have been "un-mellow". The pesky word verification decided to transplant itself.

  5. I was told by a bloke who ran a hospital in Australia that babies like beer.

  6. Got Mimi's endorsement: that's good enough for me!

  7. Paul (A.), the word verification got wove in.

Cathy, I didn't use the breast milk with beer diet for the other two, and neither gained three pounds in a month.

  8. Why yes, I drink Ovaltine. Why do you ask?

  9. I also drink Ovaltine, and so do my grandchildren...all of them! LOL!

  10. Ciss B, do you and ALL your grandchildren wake up gay?

Counterlight posted the picture on Facebook, and someone asked if the gay effect lasted all day.

  11. If I remember correctly, Burr Tillstrom was gay. He led such a quiet life personally that I can't confirm it on Google immediately. (He is noted as a ballet fan, and lived "in Chicago in an old coachhouse he remodeled with the help of Joseph Lockwood Jr., his show assistant and costume designer for the Kuklapolitans.") I watched Kukla, Fran, and Ollie daily during the glory years of early television, when they had a half-hour program daily. Later it was cut to fifteen minutes. Finally they were given a five-minute cameo on another show. Ollie protested: "That isn't a program -- that's a twinge of conscience!"

    I certainly hope so.

  13. Murdoch, what a nice cameo of Burr. I saw the show in the glory days, too, an advantage to being old, no?

Counterlight, it would be a bit shocking if the gay effect wore sometime during the day.

  14. That would be "wore off sometime during the day".
