ALTHOUGH I'M TAKING A SABBATICAL...

OMG! Hegelian Dialectic in Anglican Robes. - Tobias

...from "As the Anglican World Turns", Elizabeth Kaeton at Telling Secrets is not. If the following quote from the post is not enough to get you over to her blog...
Here's but one example of Blessed Rowan's cluelessness: At the press conference at the end of the Primates meeting, Dr. Williams indicated that he is planning a global tour to mend fences to, he said, in his very own inimical way (Are you ready for this? Okay, here we go), "find a synthesis between the thesis of sexual orthodoxy and the antithesis of homosexual practice".

...then there's something wrong with you. Sorry, but it's true. :-)

  1. Just picking up your slack, Mimi, which is considerable, but I do my best. That's what friends are for.

  5. Mary Clara, poor Hegel....

Göran, too many slips of the tongue, yes?

Nij, I see arms raised higher than Rowan's. Perhaps, like Moses, he needs help to keep both arms raised.

  6. And maybe, Mimi, he's going along with something that he really doesn't buy into for the sake of power (which is getting more diminished by the day) which would account for his schizophrenic-like statements. He should re-read Hamlet, good old Polonius, etc. :>)

  7. Nij, Rowan seems to encompass such a compartmentalized and divided world within himself, that I wonder how he does it and what kind of toll it takes on him. Hamlet might be a good tonic.
