"DANCE ME TO THE END OF LOVE" - LEONARD COHEN
Leonard is an old man. Well, so what? I am an old lady. In fact, I believe we are the same age. The video is from a few years ago, but not so very many. Leonard has not lost his magic touch. What a gorgeous and romantic song! And the violin!
When I was in college (71-75), lots of other musicians were covering his songs. The songs were haunting, and I followed the trail to him and his poetry. At the same time they are evocative of that time of my life, but, as you say, timeless. From word and sound play to howl at the moon lust... amyj
Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBooCat, thank you! I thought no one liked the song but me.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Leonard.

Thank you, amy. I love Leonard, too. Is admiring Leonard and his music a generational thing? He seems timeless to me.

ReplyDeleteYes, indeed! He's smart and sexy, Amy. The lyrics of Cohen's songs are often the loveliest of poems. He's a Renaissance man.
