MR CATOLICK FROM THE STEPS OF ST PAUL'S CATHEDRAL
Brilliant! This may be Mr CatOLick's best video ever.
Should you have any difficulty at all understanding Mr C's every word, please click the link to his website, where he's posted a transcript, along with the video.
Someone in the comments to the earlier scathing editorial in the Guardian said that no one should pay attention to what the newspaper opines on the subject, because it's so virulently anti-Christian.
Actually, it's religious coverage tends to be pretty even-handed. Maybe that's what the commentator disliked. The C of E's anti-gay carryings-on helped convert its former religious affairs correspondent Stephen Bates (twice named UK Religious Writer of the Year by the Churches' Media Council) to agnosticism. Riazat Butt, its current religious affairs correspondent is a Muslim.
Guardian commentary - "at least the chapter has proved to a doubting nation that the Church of England can make a fool of itself about a subject which has nothing to do with sex".

ReplyDeleteStephen Bates' story is sad, indeed. What kind of witness do Christians give when they cause the journalists who cover them to lose their faith?
