Faith is now quite uncertain. I'm no longer acting-as-if.
So the Saints beat the Lions. Is that payback for that Coliseum unpleasantness back in the day?
The whole city felt expectant today. And I'm sure I heard fireworks tonight. What joie de vivre!
ginny, I doubt that any team is more loved than the Saints. The fans stuck fast with them all through the losing years.
Yea, I liked that the fans on the street were all across the board: young, old, in-between, white, black, local, from away, casual, well-heeled... Made me feel like part of God's kingdom on earth--and I'm not even a sports fan.
ginny, I'm not a sports fan either, but I get excited when the Saints do this well. I like that the team brings all sorts of people together.
Oh, was there an NFL game today?Like my Niners, enjoying a well-earned bye. {whistles};-)
And now, Mimi, we have a whole week to trash-talk each other now! ;-pNiners gonna beat dem Saints: dey dat! Dey dat! *LOL*
And I'm sure Drew Brees will look just LOVELY in Candlestick turf-green: meet the Smiths! (Aldon and Justin). Heh-heh...
JCF, I admit I'd feel better if the game was in the Dome, but the saints have such heart, besides having a great team.
I do want you to know I rooted for LSU though (Sigh)
JCF, thank you. Louisiana can't win 'em all.
