The whole city felt expectant today. And I'm sure I heard fireworks tonight. What joie de vivre!
ReplyDeleteginny, I doubt that any team is more loved than the Saints. The fans stuck fast with them all through the losing years.
ReplyDeleteYea, I liked that the fans on the street were all across the board: young, old, in-between, white, black, local, from away, casual, well-heeled... Made me feel like part of God's kingdom on earth--and I'm not even a sports fan.
ReplyDeleteginny, I'm not a sports fan either, but I get excited when the Saints do this well. I like that the team brings all sorts of people together.
