ISAAC IS STILL WITH US

I thought Isaac was past us, but apparently we were in a kind of lull, and now the wind and rain is back, but not as strong as previously.  My internet connection is so slow that any website with pictures loads at a snail's pace, and I can't get to all the information I want.  I finally reached Wunderground with the satellite picture shown above.

  1. Heard it will be there all night. Again stay safe. Trees are beginning to topple because of the amount of rain plus wind.

  2. So, the lull was the eye, and now you are getting the 'other side' of the storm. It looks like y'all have had more than enough. Prayers for all.

  3. Yes, my son said the eye passed over us, and now we have the rest, which is now downgraded to a tropical storm. And Tom spent the morning starting the clean-up.

Our neighbor told us that we are on the same power grid as the hospital, which is probably why we still have power. I don't know if that's true, but I know many in Thibodaux are without power.

You probably know more about what's going on than I do, with my painfully slow internet service.

    1. Thank you, Mary Clara. I'm just back from a short walk with Diana in the wind and the rain. My cheap, orange, plastic parka from Central America is getting a workout. Diana and I both would have liked a longer walk, but the weather didn't permit. She would have gone on, but a little went a long way for me.

  6. Yes, Nij, we're OK. I don't like them either...the hurricanes. Thanks for checking.

  9. The bastid Isaac moved on...finally. The wind died down, and, though a light rain falls, the sun peeped out a couple of times, a harbinger of good weather.

Thank you all. Your prayers and concern were a great comfort.
