Just because cat is black and pumpkin is orange (SF Giant colors) does not exclude the possibility of his being a Tiger! Memo to JCF - I am friend of Phil Coke, Tiger pitcher. Love the game of baseball! I also know George Kontos, relief pitcher for the Giants. Both played Double-A ball for my local team as did Giant Freddy Sanchez. Wishing you luck in the Series, but not too much! Great team and beautiful stadium you have out in SF! Enjoy the games!
I lived in Michigan for over 10 years; I am not w/o SOME ambivalence (but only a tiny bit: my mom raised me a Giants fan here in NorCal, and I *suffered* w/ them most of my life).
I certainly don't hunger to pound the Tigers the way I did Texas 2 years ago [Remember the joke at that time? "If the Rangers win, Texas gets to secede. If the Giants win, Texas HAS TO secede!" Why is Texas still one of th 50 again? ;-p]
Go Giants! "VogelStrong" tonight: my favorite pitcher!
I thought you meant "World Series Time"! (My SF Giants are ahead 2 games to none, Woo Hoo! :-D)
ReplyDeleteJCF, I pay no attention at all to sports. Sorry about that. :-)
DeleteThat's my daughter's family cat. I've been trying to think of his name, and I think it's Paco, but I'm not sure.
I was going to ask if that was Paco! [Yes, I'm quite sure that's the right name. He's a cutie (and not a Tiger ;-p)]
DeleteMy daughter confirmed the name Paco on Facebook. Their other cat is Raoul. What's with the Spanish names?
DeleteI think he's a Detroit Tiger! Cute!
ReplyDeletePaco (or whoever) went right into the pumpkin all on his own, but we had trouble getting him to stay long enough to get a picture.

Congrats to JCF and the SF Giants! They were awesome and definitely deserved to win the WS!
ReplyDeleteJCF, yay! I'm happy for you that the Giants won.
