  1. And aren't we happy about "NOT GONNA HAPPEN." So sad though that both SC and NC are red. Damn. At least NC was purple the last time. I think maybe this also proves that elections don't go to those candidates who spend the most.

    1. Bonnie, I hope the election sends a message about money. Karl Rove says the Obama win was called too soon. Their hopes die hard. Krauthammer says gridlock to follow.

  2. Even with a better captain the ship like most ships in the world still faces dangerous reefs.

    1. Obama faces a tough second term. The pundits at Faux News are predicting gridlock, because the House will hold the line, but I think Obama will force them into a corner, and they will have to make concessions. Pardon the mixed metaphors.

  3. On other issues it seems Maryland and Maine have passed positive marriage laws.

Still waiting to see whether Minnesota rejects and Washington oks.

Also waiting on the death penalty in California

  4. Congratulations Grandma!
Its 6.30 a.m. here so I've just heard. (So that's why my cat tried to get me up at 5 o' clock!) You did your bit - what would have Obama done without you?
