I recently saw a TV (Lifetime O_o) movie re the life&love of Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash (I know there was a movie movie about it, too, but I haven't seen that yet).
It was pretty good (starring the singer Jewel as JCC). But for a BETTER telling of the tale, listen to the writer Sarah Vowell tell it on This American Life (here's the transcript, inc link to the audio. Be sure to listen, Sarah Vowell is inimitable: http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/247/transcript )
JCF, I enjoyed the movie and thought it was quite well done. Years ago, Johnny, June, and the Carter Family performed in concert here. They sang and played their hearts out in a concert that I've never forgotten.
I always detested that song. I'm sure there are those who think it had deep meaning, but not me. And I didn't like to be called Sue either. My mother named me Susan and I like it fine.

I should note that there's a pretty informative bit on Transguys in love, too! [Love is theme of that ep]
