Renz And Susan S. Guessed Right!

Renz and Susan S. guessed right. I award them the prize of a shared trip to Jamaica (in New York), as soon as I can get the money together.

The picture is our own dear LapinBizarre, aka Roger, when he was a cute little boy, before he had grown into his bizarreness. With him is his sweet little dog, Trixie, who gave him part of his porn name in this contest.

I thought someone would guess. Did you truly believe that MadPriest would give me a picture of himself? His appearance remains a deep, dark mystery, except for what DP gave away in his comment. And he's met him! As I told Lapin, "What do I know? All Englishmen look alike to me."

Lapin and I had many laughs by email over the comments to the "Guess Who?" post, especially those who psyched out the personality from the boy's picture. I commanded him as firmly as I could not to spoil the game, especially after it got to be so much fun.

Thanks, Lapin, for the use of the adorable boy and dog picture and for the many other contributions that you make to my humble blog. Thanks to all of you who played the game.

  2. Scott, did you know that we were gossiping about you in the comments to the Bishop Jenkins to Retire post? Check it out.

  3. Renz, it was good of you to confess. That would be "Roger", not Ralph. Lapin and I had so much fun with this, that we should pay someone money for it.

  4. You're right. All those pasty English knees look alike to me.

    Dang.

  5. No, I wasn't aware of that. I just read it, and I have to tell you, that idea scares the bejeezus out of me.

  6. Who is Roger? I haven't been reading your blog long enough.

  7. I have seen the MP - so was pretty sure it was someone else. Not so sure you would find him in short pants ever - even it it was required! In honor of Lapin I put up my 1 y/o pix at my facebook site.

  8. Steph, Roger is LapinBizarre. He does not have a blog, but he's a frequent commenter in the neighborhood, and he sends me material for my blog, for which I'm very grateful.

    Ann, gonna go see.

  9. "Shy but sly", with a "face has trouble written all over it", Margaret - not to mention a resemblance to both Rowan Williams AND MP.

  10. I said that all Englishmen look alike to me, but that doesn't include Welshmen.

I'm waiting for DP to weigh in.

  11. Jonathan posted a more up to date shot of me (taken 20 years ago!) a year or so back. Complete with beard, so it may re-surface in connection with his current craze.

  12. There are a number of things I wish to say:
    a) My "guess" of M.P. was, of course, a deliberate attempt to mislead.
    B) Lapin and M.P. are actaully twins. This is a little known fact.
    c) My knees aren't pasty.
    d) All Englishmen do not look alike: some of us have good dental-work.
    e) We do look alike in the dark.
    f) Newcastle-Upon-Tyne is only technically English. They are a breed apart up there in the Arctic Circle near Kiltland. It gets very foreign North of Yorkhire.

Ah yes, DP. A quite convenient confession after the fact and after guessing wrong.

    b) That could be true.

    c) You'll have to show me a picture of your knees for me to believe that they are not pasty, for on this side of the pond, we are convinced that all Englishmen have pasty knees. Perhaps you have a picture of yourself in a kilt.

    d) You may be one of those rare birds.

    e) Yes.

    f) Yes. I can believe that.

  14. Mimi, I think that you should follow up on this one with a picture of you as a girl!

  15. Dennis, I don't have a scanner, but if I can get a good photo of the two framed pictures on my wall, I will post them. One is a baby picture, and the other is of me as a flower girl in my aunt's wedding. I don't suppose a guessing game would work with them.

  16. I didn't guess, but I thought it was MP too (based on the pic of HimSelf at ~13, which he has posted---the one that Clumber keeps putting in his icons!).

Yeah, file me under the "All Englishmen (of a certain age) Look Alike" crowd, too...

  17. I've never won a contest before! I can hardly wait for the trip to Jamaica, NY. Renz, I am so glad that we will be able to meet up...we do have to go at the same time, right Mimi?

  18. Susan, not only must you go at the same time, you will be sharing a room, so you can spend quality time together.
