Big Daddy Went To Sleep

Big Daddy has not been well for quite a while. My son was to take him to the vet tomorrow to be put down, but he died last night. His mother, Sweet Babs, died a few months ago and BD was very much a mama's boy. I'm not surprised that he did not linger long after her passing.

Pray for my son and his family. Only Trigger is left of the Basset trio.

  10. You said that he would take the loss of his mother hard and I guess he did. A blessing for your son that he died of natural causes and that neither he nor Big Daddy (sounds like a misnomer?) had to go through the ordeal of euthanasia.

  12. The loss of a companion animal is just so difficult. To lose two of them in such a short time is doubly difficult. Prayers for your son and his family as the mourn the loss of Big Daddy ... another special gift of God's creation.

  13. Poor Big Daddy was never a daddy. I don't know why the family called him by that name.

  15. Thanks all for the kind words and prayers. Big Daddy was only a couple of years younger than his mother. She was young when she gave birth to her one and only litter, but she was an excellent mother to her pups.
