STORY OF THE DAY - WAITING

I don't mind waiting for a little while, he
said, if I get a treat in the end. What do
you think is a treat? I said. Not having to
wait too long, he said & I had to give him
points for honesty.

From StoryPeople.

I'd say Grandpère could have written this little story, but he minds very much waiting for a little while.

  1. I did notice that. He really is a dear though.

  2. GP is a dear, Amelia. He cooks, he shops for groceries, and he even does a little cleaning from time to time. And the poor baby has put up with me for 48 years. That's a lot of wear and tear over a long period of time.

  3. It may be just a basic guy thing -- I notice it when my love is ill -- he defines patience as being willing to have a cold/flu/whatever for 24 hours. After that IT IS NO FAIR. ... sigh

  4. Susankay, I've known a few men who were patient. My maternal grandfather was quite patient, but when he lost patience, he erupted like a volcano.
